Slow Rain

Isn't it wonderful....it rained. I've started adding rain to my prayers for weeks now. Then, this morning at around 2am I saw lightening in my window and about 30 minutes later I heard the soft beat of rain outside. I got up and sat on the front porch for an hour just watching, and then I went back inside and allowed my favorite lullaby to sing me to sleep. I love the sound of rain and rolling thunderstorms, it's my favorite weather. Then today was an ideal, cold, grey, drizzling day. I got up early, took a warm shower and walked to the band hall so Andrew could get in and then I walked back home. I was cold when I got home, but the rain was so refreshing that I didn't even notice it. I wish that the forecast for the spring was less bleak. Oh well, its going to be a hot, dry summer.

I slept today. I mean, I just slept and did nothing else. We had no car at all today, so we went nowhere. I stayed in bed nearly all day and got close to eight extra hours of sleep today. Of course, it could be that I had a fever and really couldn't do anything else and that I needed the rest. But I like to think that I just had a sleep fest today. I had three showers and ate one meal today and read for maybe three hours. But I slept and it was a wonderful day. Now, I need to finish and get off the computer so I can go to sleep early. Goodnight everyone, I will see you bright and early in the morning....by the way, my fever is broken and my voice is coming back. God bless you all with a restful night and a new outlook for tomorrow.
