Greet the Day
Xin chao (hello in Vietnamese)
Picture this...
A bedroom with walls painted lilac. Huge open windows and glass french doors that lead into an enchanting little courtyard with flowers and forest creatures. Inside the bedroom is a gracefully carved white canopy bed, queen size, and white sheer fabric draped everywhere. A young woman sleeping soundly in a simple silk gown, golden hair fixed, teeth brushed (no morning breath). Her eyelids flutter open, delicate as soft pink rose petals, to the sound of a charming little bird singing as the soft morning light streams in...
Yeah, right. Haha, just picture the opposite and you'll see my mornings. A room with dark green walls and a black ceiling with stars painted on it. Posters and paintings hanging everywhere. A high twin bed with a purple and black homemade quilt draped crookedly across coppery orange cotton sheets. Me, with an arm and a leg hanging off the edge, lying on my stomach, an annoying alarm goes off and the sun isn't even up. I reach over and smash my fist into it's red digital numbers. Damn alarm clock, just five more minutes. However, I know that I don't have five more minutes so I sit up, my chestnut hair sticking out and tangled on one side of my head, a little bit of drool hanging out of the corner of my mouth as a result of talking all night long in my sleep. I stare blankly ahead for five more minutes still asleep...
Yeah, that's more like it. That's me. I sleep walk towards the bathroom where it takes ice cold water in the shower to wake me up. I did dishes and cleaned the kitchen for the next two and a half hours due to several combined inconveniences. First, I haven't cleaned the kitchen all week long so it's a disaster anyway. Then, our sink isn't working so I have to fill up two humongous tubs with water. Not to mention the numerous times I have to drag them out to the back yard to empty them of nasty water and refill them. Plus, the kitchen faucet takes an annoyingly long time to get hot water...So, after working in the kitchen, I go and take a luke warm shower to wash the grundge off of my skin and then I go to the Whole Foods Market. I just love the Whole Foods Market. There I got some Peach Green Tea, some Nori, some pickled plum, and some soy ice cream. I can't eat dairy products or drink milk. No, I am not lactose intolerant, I just got taken off of any kind of dairy two years ago and I felt so good that I just never got back on, so, anytime I eat dairy products, I get sick to my stomach. Besides, I kinda like soy.
While my earthling family was going to the bathroom, all of them, I was browsing the seaweed, where I later picked up my nori for my onigiri....where's that smoke coming from, something smells funny...uh oh...
Ten minutes later....
Phew, that was close, I had put some Ramen on to cook when I sat down to type. I completely forgot it was there. N E Wayz, tell you about saving the world in the Seaweed Aisle later.

At first I was following the story of your morning and then you jumped to Whole foods and cleaning the kitchen and it took quite awhile for me to realize that you had skipped ahead a few hours. What is the inspiration thing about?
